Toddler Boy Bermuda Shorts

Warning: the posing in the following picture is quite fierce. If you are not prepared, please step back from your computer, take a deep breath and try again later.

I made my (almost 4 year old!) son some surfer-style bermuda shorts. He calls them his rockstar pants!

I used quilting cotton, which concerned me a bit that they would be too flimsy. So we took them for a test drive. He: wrestled, did some sweet knee slides and kicked some sizzlin’ hot breakdance moves – shorts still IN TACT at the end! He is like a pint-sized crash test dummy for clothes.

They were super fun and easy to make, so I am pumped to make some for my smaller dude and some friends!

Personalized Applique Pillows

Last week, a friend of mine asked me to make something special for her two precious daughters. She is giving their room a makeover while they stay with Grandma for a few days and really wanted a personal touch for their beds.

I am so happy I was able to contribute to the design plan! I think the fabrics are sophisticated enough to grow with them, yet the applique letters gives a nod to the fact that they are still young girls.

I hope they love them as much as I loved making them!
