The Vintage Dish Dessert Tower

A couple of years ago I planned a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law.  The theme was Vintage Garden Tea Party. Planning this event got my “hands-on” creative juices flowing.  Up until then, I expressed most creativity through writing.

One of my favorite projects that I created for this party was a serving platter made from vintage plates and tea cups.

The original “Vintage Dish”

It was such a hit that I made some to sell at Aqua Seventy6’s very first trunk show.

Here are a few others:

These serving towers dress up any dessert table.  I’ve used mine at birthday parties, baby showers, holidays and even at an informal get together.

The only drawback is that they’re pretty heavy and don’t ship well.  However, I’d be happy to create one for anyone in the Richmond, VA area.  Email me at the address above for pricing information.

{Spring} Fabric Cuff Bracelet

Last year I made this fabric cuff bracelet featuring a vintage button for a client in Florida:

This is one of those projects I almost couldn’t bear to part with.  I always intended to make myself a matching one, but then came the winter, and long sleeves and coats wouldn’t do it justice.

Today, my cousin from Florida contacted me about making a few items to raffle at a breast cancer walk in which she participates.  I was stoked when she wanted a similar cuff, because now I KNOW I will finally make one for myself.  As soon as her items are up, I will post them here for you to see.

In the meantime, if you are interested in ordering something similar for yourself, email me using the link above, or visit my Facebook page for more ideas.
