My First Virginia Vendor Night

I participated as a vendor in a local event last night.  For those of you who have ever been part of the “craft show” scene, you know these can be hit or miss.  Some shows have way too many vendors, others not enough (although I prefer the latter!)  They are time consuming, there is usually a participation cost, as well as the cost of the supplies you wouldn’t normally need when selling online (shopping bags, receipt books, etc).  Because of this, I tend to stay away from traditional “craft shows”, and lean more toward smaller venues or host my own trunk shows with 2 or 3 other vendors.

The good thing about EVERY show is that you meet some amazing people!  Last night I met some of the sweetest ladies since moving to Virginia!  They helped make my evening a success, even though sales were slower than I had hoped.

Here is my vendor table.  Yes, I brought way too many items!  On a brighter note, these will make up my new Etsy inventory!

Here I am waiting for the customers to arrive.  (Thank you PicMonkey!)

A close-up of some of my inventory (these were on the fly with my iPhone, so sorry they are kind of blurry!):

I was able to catch a few snapshots of some of my customers…

There was a raffle at the end of the evening, and I was so excited to see how many people added their ticket to try to win my prize! Congrats Catherine!

I had a great time last night!  Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table!

What We Wore Last Weekend

I hope all of the Moms, Grandmas, Abuelas, Tias, Aunties, Madrinas and Godmothers who read my blog had a beautiful Mother’s Day!  Mine was just lovely!  I got to relax with my loves and even had some time to read a few chapters of a book that all of the ladies have been buzzing about.  SCAN. DA. LOUS.  Love it!

Last Friday, my daughter had a small carnival at school, and since she’s been holed up at home with her broken leg, I decided we should stop in for a little fun.

I sported out my Sparrow Skirt by my friend Marcy at Kaiya Designs

I love how it’s tiered and just to my knees, so I can wear it casually or dress it up for church.

I paired it up with one of my Fabric Cuff Bracelets

LOVE!

My little mama rocked out a Ribbon Belt and some big shades.  Did you notice her haircut??

She was so excited that a high school girl working the carnival complimented her belt!  (So was I!)  🙂
